CAPTURE THE MOMENT: Turning your childs finger impression into your own unique keepsake

When my son was 5 months old I was already wishing he would never grow up and would stay my little bear cub forever. I decided to capture the moment by creating the pictured pendant. It is something he has touched, for me to treasure and wear close to my heart.

The Fingerprint Series is now available for others to purchase to capture their own moments. Available to Yeppoon and Rockhampton customers. Please contact me to schedule your in person finger impresson appointment before purchasing a listing from the online store.
DURING YOUR APPOINTMENT: Your little ones finger or toe will be pressed directly into a silver clay which once fired becomes your special keepsake. It is then taken back to the studio to be shaped and personalised as you like.
IN THE STUDIO: Your clay impression will be fired, filed, sanded, patina & and polished to reveal a 99% silver keepsake. Due to the handmade nature of my work  it can take between 2-4weeks to complete and deliver.
Suitable ages:
I am happy to take impressions at any age, however please keep in mind that fingerprints of young children may be too soft to imprint detail and we may need to try a toe, or perhaps wait until they are a little older.
The most popular time to have this done is in a childs first 6 months. Although I can not guarantee the actual swirls of a fingerprint will transfer onto the jewellery, most parents still prefer to capture the tiny shape of their little ones finger or toe (like little Archie's finger and toe pictured below).

Signature Ring Series

For those who loved the 'In Memory' rings I designed for a customer in 2010, I have now introduced a similar ring design which has now become my 'Signature Ring Series'. The series is currently made up of 3 ring designs DREAM . CREATE . LOVE.

This wide ring design is handmade from sterling silver featuring a hand pierced word within. (The term piercing in jewellery is the technique of cutting an intricate design with a very fine saw blade)

Special Requests: This design can also be custom made in your own name, the name of a loved one, or perhaps a word that inspires you. As my availability for 2011 is very limited, please contact me to have your special request added to the waiting list. This series can also be made with 18ct yellow or white gold.

NEW: Mokume Gane jewellery

Mokume Gane (meaning wood-grained metal) is a Japanese technique that was used to embellish samuari swords. The amount of Mokume Gane used reflected ones social status and wealth.

To create this wood-graned effect I fused alternating layers of fine silver and copper together which was then forged, rolled, and patterned to reveal a unique design.

Due to the labour intensive nature of this technique, Mokume Gane jewellery remains uncommon in the marketplace as it is not able to be mass manufactured.

All Mokume Gane pieces in my store are made by hand - from making the sheet metal to the finished product and is available for a limited time only

Hi everyone,

You may notice that my store is a little empty at the moment.
I'm in the process of restocking the store with more jewellery that are ready to send (instead of all custom made items)

Stay tuned...

Water lily design - the beginning...

Hi everyone,

I thought I would show you how my jewellery starts out in the studio.
These pictures are the beginning of some water lily inspired jewellery I am working on at the moment using sterling silver. I will be adding a cheniere bail and also setting an opal into this sterling silver pendant.
Be sure to check back in next week to see the finished piece.

FROM MY HANDS, TO YOUR HEART - Custom made In Memory rings

In June I custom designed and created 2 rings for a client in memory of a loved one. I am so pleased with how both of these rings turned out - they just look stunning on her hand.

18ct yellow gold wedder style ring with 3 names cut within.

3 names cut from sterling silver and formed into a ring. It was then joined between 2 half round shanks to create one wide feature ring, designed for the middle finger.
